Workshop: Radical Tools for the Performer

Como é que nos desafiamos a entrar em zonas desconhecidas?
How do we challenge ourselves by moving into unknown areas?

Como é que o jogo pode ajudar-nos a encontrar algo novo sobre nós próprios, enquanto artistas? How can the Game help us discover something new about ourselves as Artists?

Como é que podemos usar as nossas ferramentas criativas para ir mais a fundo? How can we use our creative tools to go more deeply?

This is a call for people, from various backgrounds (theatre, dance, directing, writing, singing or professionals in any field interested in expanding their creative horizon) to explore together a range of radical tools for performance, for connection, for presence and creation.

I have developed material and research as a professional performer and teacher for around 15 years. My background encompasses, theatre, both as a director and performer, voice and singing, movement, release, improvisation, comedy, classical theatre and creating in ensemble.

Departing principally from the work of Philippe Gaulier and Ann Bogart, but drawing from a range of other unique approaches to performance, I aim to create situations where our bodies and voices can be liberated, we can discover a greater connection with ourselves and others, risk more and incorporate some new creative tools into our repertoire.

The workshop will be held in English (with translation available) however it is unnecessary to be fluent in English in order to attend the workshop.
