Project Details:
Auditioning for the development and performance of a New Collaboration Project directed by award-winning choreographer and installation artist Darren Johnston and contemporary composer Ben Rowarth. Based in a warehouse space in South East London, dancers will be required for three weeks of developmental workshops. Following this, performances will be including a pilot performance in London and a performance tour of UK locations currently including Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow. The project will be exploring the intersection between sound and movement within a fully collaborative developmental process. The eventual piece, ‘Into Silence’, will be focussed on themes of turbulence within silence, and forward and backwards moving abstract narratives. The movement, having been developed alongside acoustic sound, will form part of a broader immersive installation.
