Admin Assistant for The Embodied Voice

I am looking for an admin assistant with a particular focus on marketing and social media to join my team starting from January 2023. This person will help me in a variety of ways to build and expand my business as a voice and movement teacher and facilitator, as well as manage marketing and communication, so that I can focus on teaching and delivering great workshops.

Job Responsibilities:
Manage The Embodied Voice social media presence, including developing a strategy, preparing posts, and coordinating with me to create content
Research relevant people and businesses to make contact with on social media
Provide support for making video content when needed
Research business opportunities with potential clients in Portugal and the UK
Develop marketing packets
Send outreach emails with proposals
Update website, ticketailor, meetup websites with class information
Post about events and classes on social media
Manage the newsletter
Research and collate potential venues and collaborators
Communicate with venues to develop promotional material

Required Skills:
Speak English and Portuguese, including some translation
Know how to use Canva, or be willing to learn
Writing skills appreciated
Understand voice and brand identity
Attention to detail
Prompt and open communication
Knowledge of social media landscape - when to post and how
Tenacious research skills - following leads down rabbit holes
Ability to use google sheets

Bonus:
Preferably based in Lisbon
Interested in the wellness industry
Interested in music and/or voice


How much commitment will the job require:
Weekly meeting to do updates and set targets 1-2hrs (on zoom)
Flexible according to your schedule
6-9 hours a week, some months less
Remote, sometimes in person if/when possible

Remuneration
Pay between 12GPB/EUR per hour - 20GBP/EUR, dependent on experience and location; 4,320GBP/EUR a year, 360GBP/EUR a month
Work exchange also available for people interested in studying voice and embodiment with me, you can attend all my courses for free, and receive private voice lessons valued £50 an hour

Who Am I?
I am an artist, singer, composer, and facilitator based between London and Lisbon. I run my own business Curiosa, which organises workshops, retreats and residencies, and I teach The Embodied Voice, a practice combining voice, movement, improvisation and mindfulness. My work crosses the creative, education, and wellness industries. I need someone to support me to build my business and to reach more people who would benefit from having more creativity, embodiment, and community in their lives.

I am driven by the belief that discovering, experiencing, and expressing our creativity in collaboration is an essential part of what it means to be a human being, and is the basis for how we organize ourselves in society. Singing, moving, dancing, and creating together, we can imagine and enact new ways of being together in the world, that are better for us mentally and physically, on an individual and a planet-wide basis. My creative practice is at the core of all that I do, and my ways of working as an entrepreneur, a teacher, and an artist are all built on values of play, positive regard, respect, and authentic communication.
